I know you all think reddit is still good for niche forums. I haven't found this true. I've found asking a question to a general group of incredibly smart people on poal get's way better answers and quicker. On any topic.

People on reddit, even in niche forums often are dunning kruger smart. They give you the cookie cutter box advice any "main stream person" would give.

I've found this from renovating questions, to programming questions, musical / instrument questions, anything. The people on poal are way smarter and way more broadly life experienced and "renaissance men" than anything on even reddit niche forums. The people on poal are vastly more intelligent than preddit. The people on here are generally smarter than even hacker news, which is for alums of a top startup accelerator.

The difference between preddit, hacker news, and poal is jewgle.

Jewgle indexes sites like preddit constantly, so if you type a question into jewgle, normies will see a preddit conversation about it.

That's about it. Preddit's quality has gone to shit after they started thought policing it.
