RO and Distilling are supposed to take 99% of anything other than water out. There doesn't exist more powerful filters for water. Nothing even pales next to them.
You can RO and then distill if you'd like then you'll get 100% water.
This is what you want - https://www.ebay.com/itm/285167527905
The ISpring RCC7 is what you want if you've got an extra $30-50 for full brand name. It's all about the filters, generic (packaging) is fine. Only like two companies even make the RO filter it's self.
You don't want the extra "mineral" readder etc and UV is overkill. It just kills live stuff which are the least of your worries. And they won't get past the 5 stage anyways.
Also RO is better at overall filtering everything evenly. Distiller obliterates mainly things but some get in a tiny bit more than others vs RO. Either way, both filter 99% of all the input.
This might be a dumb question but does it filter out vinyl chloride in case you know somebody that lives close to the Ohio River?
I just did a double filter and test. The tap was 280 mg of shit per liter. RO was 50 mg/L. RO then Distilled was 11. Certainly if you do that combo, it doesn't matter what was in there, nothing is in there now.
Also RO should be taking 350 mg/L of shit down to 15 by itself. Dunno what's going on there.
