So I saw a trailer for the new great expectations mini series, and being a fan of the book I figured it might be cool. Of course they cast Estella as a nigger. Doesn't matter that a nigress would have NEVER climbed the social ladder at that time, nor would Pip have been interested in one. Chalk that up to another show I won't watch.

How many failed adaptations before they learn to stick with the material again?

They will never stop because they don't care that it fails. They want to rewrite history.

It's either that or they think that their less creative minds can actually improve the stories by changing them. Hubris essentially.

Most people haven't figured this out yet but the reason they can keep doing this despite flop after flop (e.g. little mernigger) is because the Federal Reserve does massive stock buys of large companies that produce (((propaganda))) like this. If they didn't, shareholders would be able to sue the shit out of them for fiduciary malfeasance.
