The January 6, 2021 rioters made several very obvious mistakes. Here' what they should have done: 1. **All organization outside of the actual riot should have been held locally, in person.** Each meeting should have required a metal detector wand to keep certain folks out. Each person allowed to attend should be a long time acquaintance already known. People of known positions and quantities. Newcomers not allowed. People talking about overt violence should be asked to leave. 2. **No mobile phones allowed in the meetings.** Remember, your mobile phones track where you are. So even bringing them with you could be used to catch you "plotting terrorism" even though you're not actually plotting terrorism. Make use of technology to remotely meet in secure meetings, as well. 3. **Organization is permitted on social media but discussion is not.** It is better to use secure communication solutions like Signal than it is to use spy social media like Facebook. 4. **On the day of the event, no one is allowed to bring their personal mobile phone or the mobile phones of others they know.** Of course, using emergency prepaid phones is okay. Most certainly, signing up for Tinder and trying to get matches while in the crowd is a no go. 5. **Clear goals and objectives.** Whatever those might be. I do not personally advocate for violence. Perhaps you have other goals such as occupying the Capitol buildings to prevent the government from operating as a form of protest? A sit in. Remember, MLK Jr. did it and it worked. As long as you make that clear that your goals are those. If you decide to do that, you'll need to bring all sorts of gear for the tear gas, pepper spray, etc. In which case, points 1 and 2 become very important - get your planning done. 6. **Do not ever post violent and stupid rhetoric on social media, in text messages, blogs, etc.** STFU, you fucking morons. How hard is it to act like a civilized person instead of a savage ape? If violence is your goal (please don't), why the hell would you talk about it in a public way? Stop being internet badasses and seriously STFU. You're not tough. You don't look cool. You're a retarded faggot. "You ain't gonna do shit." 7. **Wear face masks, cover up tattoos and other uniquely identifying markers, wear hats, wear generic shoes, etc.** Do the basic forensic stuff. Study high end robbery techniques and adopt those things. Pretend you're robbing a high end jewelry store and plan to make it a career. Then figure out all the ways you need to adapt to "get away, clean." Don't be stupid and buy shirts and hats from an online store to get your buddies all dressed the same, either. That's just stupid because now you have a financial paper trail. Also, bring cash with you to the destination to buy things. Do not use your debit/credit cards. 8. **Travel planning.** If at all possible, take a bus to the destination so you can keep your plates off of CCTV. Of course, taking off your mask will require you to expose yourself on the bus cameras. If you want, have just a handful of patsies do the driving in large vans but not participate at all. Don't forget to keep your fucking mobile phones at home. Hopefully, this helps one of you dumbasses, one day. Just stop to think about your plans for any length of time and you'll be better prepared. Imagine if all the Capital Rioters had planned like I put in my list, how many would actually get caught and arrested? You do know that most of them are getting drawn up on charges for their violent rhetoric online, right? That's how most are getting convicted.
