I'm gonna tell you a quick story if you will lend me your time.

I lost my daughter in a custody dispute. I mean she's still alive but you really would not believe the number they did on me in the legal system. My disillusionment with the government started then.

I'm damn near 40 now. I spent years broken and broken hearted. I felt like starting a family would be abandoning my daughter. My daughter I never see. I'm not gonna have a lot of luck getting her back in my life and it could unleash a rage in me this world rarely sees. Never against her, of course, but ...anyways.

About a year ago I realized starting a family would be some kind of an answer to this. It also has the side benefit of being a massive middle finger to certain people and institutions. For sure, I would excel at raising a family but I don't know how to get started.

As for me I'm fine. Decent shape, good job, active, a bit outdoorsy, blah. People say dating sites are for hookup culture but I've tried every single one and haven't even been able to get someone to talk to me. Pretty much I am done with dating sites as nothing I try works at all, fake profiles, paying money for false hope, etc.

I'm agnostic so church is not an option. I just have no freaking clue at all where to meet women.

Help me out poal. Give me some ideas. I know some of you might consider this "cringe" but I am genuine and willing to put in the work to get what I want.

Another thing to think about.

Chasing women is not a viable mindset imo. Constant self improvement is better to focus on. Then as you talk to women you might choose to allow one to spend time with you, but it shouldn't be the main or only goal.

There are different levels of matchmaking organizations. From it is just lunch to executive match makers. I plunked down $2K and my eventual wife found me.

I miss working at restaurants for this one reason. The steady inflow of young women was amazing.

I've never really attempted to pick them up as a customer. I figure they are being paid to be nice to me and it is kind of cringe. idk, maybe I'm missing opportunities.

Good luck man. I mostly meet girls at bars tbh. I'm in my mid 40s. It helps to have a wingman.

There is a bunch of stuff on YouTube which would likely be helpful to you. You can pretty much meet women anywhere if you're good at talking to them.

You could also pick up some online dating tips on YouTube.

One tip that works good at bars is if you hit it off with a girl, see if you can get an insta-date and move her to a different bar or some place inexpensive to eat.

Women will also almost always give you their Instagram that is 100% better than asking for a phone number. BUT your Instagram needs to be on point for this to work, (there are videos about that as well).

The only dating site I'd consider if I were single is eHarmony. Every single person I matched with was a quality individual even if it didn't work out. All very nice men, I'm not sure how it looks on the reverse side though.

Start taking lessons in things women like to do. Go to yoga classes, cooking classes, etc etc, go to the beach abs walk around hitting up single women.

No! I hate that men are in yoga classes. It's a space I go to when I want to channel peace, not hope the guy in the back isn't staring at my body.

I go to the gym to workout , not be distracted by roasties doing pelvic tilts 2 feet from my face or hot little 20something wearing itty bitty shorts and belly shirts so , fair is fair.

You have to put yourself out there in situations to meet people, going to restaurants, church, gyms...

I used to go to Sexaholics Anonymous meetings, but nowadays can't be bothered.
