This is just what I have heard, Im not testifying to it.

There are two companies that make the additive package, period. They are both evidently out of what it takes and say it may be a year before they start manufacturing again. Now I know for sure rotella is getting hard to find and no store has a full stock of oil anymore. I use it in everything because of the additive package, got 4 more gallons today.

Both def and diesel are required to deliver petrol. I've heard a story or two about how services can't be rendered on a timely basis for trucks en route. Shit's not good.
