Not when your land is really hilly or you need to use ground engaging tractor implements.
Lawn tractors really don't do anything but mow.. Sure you can maybe tow with it, but you can tow with a 0 turn..
We're not talking about an actual tractor (even the small ones). Lawn tractors are just big mowers shaped like a tractor. No PTO - not a real tractor. No hydraulics - not a real tractor.
A huge difference, pricewise and performance.
