I am 55, and should not be tiling floors anymore. But in January I tiled a huge walk-in shower, then the rest of the bathroom, and the owners talked me into doing the entire house floors (2000 sq ft). The house is full of furniture. I laid the last tile today, and almost burst into tears. I am not an emotional person, but today is a GREAT fuckin' day, frenz.

I AM AN ANIMAL!

(roasties, feel free to HMU)

If you have any cardboard laying around, it makes a great makeshift kneepad. Congrats on your job well done.

Kneepads annoy me, cuz of the strap that goes around the leg, right where the bend is. Kneeling pads have to be constantly moved around...bah.

Likely answer is what knees, lol. Man's answer from someone that was on them a lot of them 5 months, I just hurt thinking about a job like that.

I've done a fair amount of tile work. Bathroom walls, floors, kitchen walls. It's very satisfying. The finished product just looks so damned fine.

When I finished the bathroom, the lady cried!

I’ve done a similar job, and congratulations. That is some hard, and skilled work. So glad I don’t do that shit anymore.

I have tiled several houses and condos, and swore I would never do it again. But this IS the LAST time!

We always say it’s the last time. It never is

Last night I had a few LITE beers with muh neighbor, first alcohol in 2 weeks or so. I akshually had a slight hangover today...unbelievable. 10 years ago I would drink 15 regular beers, and work the next day. Aging sucks!---and sobriety is King.

I quit a long while ago. Like it too much, even now, mouth starts watering just thinking about it.

All my adult male family were alcoholics.

Some families it's just a phase they go through is all, some just forget to stop.
