What Wikipedia doesn't say is that the guy who petitioned for the change in the area code, Robert Osband, also registered the first phone number. (321) 543-8633. On an old rotary dial phone, that spells out: (321) LIF TOFF. That's greatness. I will never achieve that kind of greatness. But I recognize greatness when I see it.

Ahhh, the old NPA-NXX conversation. 212 for New York so it was the easiest to dial on a rotary phone. 201 for New Jersey because AT&T was located there.
