The only thing I would say is not to rely on your friend's arsenal. Plus, depending on your state, guns can be a great investment. I knew a guy that would dump his savings into trading guns. When ever he needed cash, he had no problem selling, and he always made a profit.
My warning on silver, is that depending on where you live, it can be a pain too unload. I live in a smaller area, when silver got near $30, I tried to cash in a bit, and not a single place in town was willing to pay more than half of spot. Not the jewelers, the pawn shops, or even the coin collectors. Never tried to trade directly for goods though, maybe that would have been different.
I actually just got denied on my background check for a gun, really embarrassing, and trying to figure out why. I fucked up at 18 but it all got dropped because I followed probation rightly. My friend thinks it's my elude charge and that I need it finalized in court even though it's been 14 years.
That fucking sucks. I'd prioritize getting that fixed. I thought they must provide a reason if you are denied on request? Have not been through that. Better start getting in on that 3D printing.
I thought so too. They said legally they can't tell me why which I thought was full bullshit. I'm going to go to the courthouse soon whenever I get a chance.. I work every single day. So it sucks I used my window to get it only to need a window to find out what happened.
But yeah blows some gonads hard. My gun was right there ready for me. I was so excited. Hellcat 9mm.
