I have a very keen ear and have been friends, acquaintances and roommates with drug addicts in the past. I can tell someone is a serious addict just by hearing their smokey, gravelly voice on the phone.
If they have a somewhat scratchy monotone gravelly voice, then It's almost a dead giveaway that they're a piece of shit junkie - mostly from heroin.
Or maybe I just have a very sophisticated and advanced radar for bullshit.
