And knock it off with the epidurals, elective c-sections, infant vaccines, and demonizing of co-sleeping.

I know this isn't exactly what you're saying, but C-sections are encouraged by doctors because it's convenient for them and actually reduces their risk. Hard (though not impossible) to mitigate the convenience factor, but stopping cray bitches from suing them constantly would cut down on them. In places where suing your doctor is tantamount to suing the government (and thus you can't) they do a lot fewer (and as the left loves pointing out, have some better outcomes overall). I'm not big on government medicine; just pointing out about the role of lawsuits.

It's a factor for sure. More convenient and less liability exposure for doctors but heinously bad for babies.

One thing that actually is happening (thank venture capital, ironically) is that dedicated hospitalists are on hand. They work on shifts and are always at the hospital. This means that a doctor doesn't have to worry about whether the choice to go for vaginal birth means they have to come in at 3 am on a Sunday. The guy who ends up doing that is going to be there anyways. The people who think that the 10k or whatever "they" pay means that they own several other human beings for 9 months don't like it, though.

I don't know about the co-sleeping thing. Some of these fat mothers roll over, and the baby is going to get smothered to death. It may get stuck between the rolls of fat, and the poor mother is going to go around for days, searching for it and crying her eyes out.

Some of these fat mothers

Also avoidable and also her own fault.

C section rates really do need to go down. It’s pathetic. The my body my choice feminazis don’t care about women being cut open unnecessarily, even by force. They’re only interested when something dies. Doctors will claim normal birth is impossible for stuff they used to do all the time, like breech births and VBAC for more than 1 scar type. Some hospitals refuse to do VBAC for any scar type, especially rural hospitals.. I shouldn’t have practically had to become my own lawyer to avoid another forced surgery. Doctors lie and say no choice but a c section but I could’ve chose to abort and have them pulled out the same way up till they were born in some states. I’m pro choice to the extent I don’t think doctors can be trusted deciding whether abortion is medically necessary or not, or after rape, but it’s not supposed to be birth control. Even still I will laugh if roe vs wade is overturned. Maybe they’ll make giving birth easier on us women if they’re forced to keep them.
