Is it actually a good series of books?
Never read them.
Supposedly the yellow brick road is an analogy for the gold standard etc. I never even knew they were an original set of books. Just got done reading the original Pinocchio. It's a pure murder fest. And before that the original Alice in Wonderland / Through the looking glass. None of these are like the disney "adaptions".
Read the original Household Tales (aka Fairy Tales) of the Brothers Grimm. They will curl your hair. For example, in "Sleeping Beauty" the prince rapes her while she's unconscious.
Jew's ruined them books.
I guess it was their version of today's recreate everything as lgbt / woke that is / was a staple of healthy home grown culture.
