Not here. Deer population has been on a downward spiral for a long time due to ever increasing lion, wolf and bear numbers. And last year we had a bad blue tongue outbreak. I think its the straw that broke the canels back. Dont expect deer to rebound in my lifetime. All the cards are stacked against them.

Im in northeastern washington. Hit bad here last year. Really bad. I believe parts of western idaho got fucked too. And they have cwd now too. Only a matter of time, likely just a few years, before we start seeing that shit here. The future of deer hunting here looks grim. Good thing i prefer bear. No shortage of those bastards around.
Yeah cwd isnt a thing here but the just required testing of any sold animals, its killing more deer than cwd is here. Dont you have to cook bear well done though?
Deer is overrated. Bear is fine eating. Groundhog, beaver and wild pig is even better. Rabbit is pretty good, and easy to grow your own since they breed like....rabbits! Get a bonded pair of Flemish Giants with a Hopper Popper, and you will have a herd in no time.
