take a large piece of tinfoil and wrap your phone in it if you are not expecting any calls. The phones can be turned on remotely but the foil stops all radio waves so it cannot send or receive, also makes it so all images taken regularly are just black and can't be uploaded while the phone is encased. Then put it under a pillow so it cannot listen

Why go through that effort when you can have someone else carry the phone for you?
