I member reading a mildly amusing article a few years about how meth labs have all but disappeared from the US b/c American drug dealers were unable to compete w/ their prices and production.

The USA Conquered Mexico down to its capital in the 1800s but decided to give it back because they didn't want it. Literally true.

Mexico was never this dangerous until the past 15 years ago or so when all the drug cartels got much more powerful due to the weakening of cartels in Columbia. I would think Mexico is not as poor as it used to be due to many companies moving their operations there from America.

I always ask people who say immigrants need asylum what it is they think makes the immigrant's home country a place they need asylum from. Is it the soil, the air, or water?
