Your view on Russia is perfectly sensible.

Is Putin a saint? Of course not. Did he just up and invade Ukraine for absolutely no reason? Of course not.

Ukraine is full of corrupt dirtbags that poked the bear and now they're getting smacked. Is the response proportional? I don't know. If you're anaverage Ukranian probably not. If you're an ethnic Russian in Donebass probably. But it's their issues, not some hollywood movie with good guys and bad guys. The whole world should just let them work it out amongst themselves.
