I’ve had shit luck with Gm and wire harness like wires loosing continuity within its insulation and no marring or damage on the outside. Or the connection within the plug ends cracking at the pins. Try re-wiring or get a used harness from a junkyard for a couple bucks

What do you drive? If youve got a knock sensor goin off after a new one it might be a timing belt or a timing chain. Not trying to panic you but id go buy a timing light and watch it. 5.3 vortec? If so. Those engines last quite a while. Again. Id check timing if you havent already. Atleast then itd knock it out or not. Pun intended.
