I was lying down in bed, and had woken up. Eyes were still closed though. As my eyes were closed, my vision changed. It was something else. Not the usual blackness. Instead there was a grid. A bunch of squares. There was a dull grid pattern. It looked like a bunch of pixels. It reminded me of virtual reality except the video game wasn't running.

And here's the thing, it was not a dream. It didn't feel like a dream. It was me, with my eyes closed, staring at pixels. As if there was a computer screen in front of my eyes that was turned off, or not working.

I had something similar happpening to me twice. In bed, eyes closed before falling asleep, but still fully awake. I would 'see' some geometrical forms moving, like a kaleidoscope; not well defined, more like an after image.

Read up on eye floaters.

I know about eye floaters, but they usually don't form interlocking triangles, squares and other geometrical forms.

Maybe not floaters, but try laying off the LSD.
