I was lying down in bed, and had woken up. Eyes were still closed though. As my eyes were closed, my vision changed. It was something else. Not the usual blackness. Instead there was a grid. A bunch of squares. There was a dull grid pattern. It looked like a bunch of pixels. It reminded me of virtual reality except the video game wasn't running.

And here's the thing, it was not a dream. It didn't feel like a dream. It was me, with my eyes closed, staring at pixels. As if there was a computer screen in front of my eyes that was turned off, or not working.

Now take a moment.

Take a moment and really relax your eyes.

Let them feel like they are drifting inside of your skull.

And remember what your skull is supposed to be.

It's just a few bones fused together, just something that keeps your eyes and brain in place.

And remember that your eyes only detect light, and they don't even detect that much of it. They cannot see the ultraviolet, or the infrared.

They just detect things, like your skin does when you "feel" something.

And they lie to you.

When you see something big that is far away, why does it look so small?

Is the Sun actually that small? It looks like you could grasp it in palm of your hand.

But they tell us it is very large, something so big it is almost unimaginable.

This is a trick, played on you by reality.

This is a trick, you don't really see anything.

You, you're nothing more than a brain inside of a glass jar hooked up to sensors, attempting to see the light.

But you are just a brain interpreting input.

You are just a brain.

You are just consciousness.

You are just a series of thoughts flowing through a void.

And you are so much more.

i'm scared that i understand this.

I don't worry about it too much because I know that I'm incapable of knowing which part to actually worry about

everytime i read this i laugh til my eyes water. never lose your humor and never let the bastards see you sweat.

I see similar almost anytime I close my eyes in a dark room. Wide awake or tired. Snowflakes constantly coming at me. No pattern, nothing special about it. It just looks like snow does when you are driving during a snow storm.

You're not actually seeing anything its just your brain/imagination. Humans can and should be able to "see" things when you close your eyes. And it probably happens more than you notice.

You ever close your eyes and rub them just to see all the designs and patterns that come out of it? Like that?

I had something similar happpening to me twice. In bed, eyes closed before falling asleep, but still fully awake. I would 'see' some geometrical forms moving, like a kaleidoscope; not well defined, more like an after image.

Read up on eye floaters.

I know about eye floaters, but they usually don't form interlocking triangles, squares and other geometrical forms.

Maybe not floaters, but try laying off the LSD.

You were dreaming you just were't asleep yet. I do it all the time, normally it will be a swilling pattern on the back of my eyelids. I'll follow it around and try not to wake up by noticing that I'm dreaming.

One time I found tiny holes in my eyelids, as I looked through them I saw pictures, upon closer examination they were actual tiny little windows that would move as I... yeah, it was a dream but I was fully awake.

On another note: Once you start VRing you get cool similar dreams. I had one where all reality began to shake like the screen sometimes will when VR is loading. All of reality fell into a 2D rectangle and began drifting away from me leaving me pondering that every place I've ever been, everyone I've ever known, is floating away.

I've had tons of strange dreams. Some hallucinations, too. You'll have to believe when I say this one was very different than all the others. It was just so plain. Literally like I was staring at a computer screen. And nothing else. There were no surprises. It didn't happen when I fell asleep. It happened when I was awake but I had my eyes closed.

Check out sleep paralysis and lucid dreams.

Thanks for the reply, AOU. I like what you do here. But yeah, I know what those are. This wasn't that. This was all plain, and easy to see. It was like I had a VR headset on my head.

Probably a very realistic lucid dream.

I’v mastered lucid dreaming. One of the coolest things you can teach yourself. It’s so easy too. Maybe like 5 minutes a day at most is all it takes. Then you get to have any experience you want while you sleep and of course dreams feel real when you’re in them. If I knew what you looked like aou I would fuck you like I fucked my sexy ass cousins. One of them has the tightest little ass. Mmmm god she’s so sexy.

Dude that's nothing. I've been in similar states and seen literal computer code. Not like typical Matrix green random characters falling vertically. But actual command codes in the bottom left corner of my field of vision, or dead center.

One particularly memorable time was when I did a fat dab after taking like 10 shots of whiskey and was laying in bed not feeling so good.

It was like everything just froze for a second and I saw:

hydrate. | -- reawake//

dead center behind closed eyes.

Reading the books about remote viewing is also eye opening, that’s the state it works in.

Ah, yes. I've heard of this. I may check that out. Thanks.

I think I know what you’re talking about. There was one night Everytime I would close my eyes I would see a demon. I wasn’t dreaming it, or picturing it, or imagining it. It was just there when I shut my eyes. It was so random, kinda creepy. Then I did eventually fall asleep and kept dreaming of different versions of hell. Anyways since I got you reading this why don’t you send me your dick pics. We live in a simulation so it doesn’t matter go ahead and shoot them my way nobody will know

Well, I play video games. Is this a video game? I wouldn't want to send someone a dick pic in a video game.
