We have about 2ft of fresh very heavy snow on top of the 2ft or so accumulation. Plow won't start; it got iced down overnight. So just have to wait it out. Of course hubby is working this problem. If I'm wise I'll STFU until he's had a 2nd cup of Joe....FJB!

If you have a leaf blower (a good one) and the snow is still powder, it will blow that shit away allowing you to access your snow blower.

You know the flexible hose for dryer exhaust (assuming an electrical dryer and not a gas one)? Get some of that (once you are able to) and run it from the outside of your house where the dryer exhaust leaves the house. Aim the hose at what you want to melt and run your dryer.
