They do everything to make us angry to create the domestic terrorists they hope for. A black man shooting a patriot and getting a medal for it was part of their plan. Don't know if the Ashley figure was real or an actor, if the death was real or staged. There was a staged part (John Earle Sullivan got $70K to distribute among the players), but they also wouldn't hesitate to kill for the psychological effect.
