Try Mandy. Definitely a film of two parts, two parts in which Cage shows amazing acting skill and then where he enters more familiar ‘Cage’ territory. It’s got weird, it’s got psychedelic, it’s all deeply artistic / stylistic imagery and audio. There are apparently plenty of Easter eggs for those autistic enough to hunt for them. I will say, it is enjoyable to watch as is, but if you are let’s say… under the influence (ie stoned) it goes from a good movie to a fucking awesome experience. Totally one that came from out of left field and is now one of my favorite flicks.
