I went to a Five Guys once. It was really expensive for just burger and fries, and was the same quality as a MCD quarter pounder. I never went back.
same quality
By what metric?? Does MCD even use beef?
Not defending the koolaid drinkers, but 5 Guys has some legit burgers and superior toppings.
It depends on location. In a farmer/rancher heavy area, the beef/bacon and toppings are fantastic. The workers are mostly White and generally not too leftist, which has a direct relationship to quality of product.
In a shit-lib city? Probably not so much, that and you have to deal with the soys and niggers.
In a shitlib city, grew up in my beloved Rocky Mountains and it used to be mostly a libertarian go along get along mentality but Commiefornian's moved in and ruined it. Pearl Street in Boulder CO in high-school used to be where we would buy acid, mushrooms or "kind nugs"... now it's PETA, Green Peace, BLM and Antifa pushing their agenda. I think I should stand my ground and fight for my state I was born and raised in but part of me wants to run to Florida or Texas and join arms with more like minded humans.
The one located about 10 minutes from my previous house has high quality toppings, fries, meat, etc. and it's also not located in a noticably leftist shithole, so that's nice. I haven't gone there since 2019 so I may have to check if it hasn't caved in yet.
It was my best friend's request, guess I'll never know if I like them or not but at least the two of us will never give them money again. Me and my buddy have a list going of unapproved places of business. The loss of my favorite burrito joint was the most painful so far but a man has to have principles.
Learn to cook. Once you get it down you can make much better stuff for cheaper, healthier, and less calories.
Actually you should add "Learn to grow" then your additives will be the most natural tasty and nutrition as long as you use them freshly picked and raised using compost for fuel instead of fertilizer chemicals which are counterproductive in my eyes for personal health and a home garden inside or outside based.
I always cook, we got taken down by covid and my friend lost 15lbs same as me but I'm happy about it being back around 210lbs and 6'1". He's 6'2" and just hit 138lbs, he's normally 155-160 and I've always been way more muscular and haven't seen my six pack since high-school.
He's my best friend, I'll buy him anything he wants to fatten him up. I brought him a bunch of protein powder, ice cream and Nutella too. Normal dinners are on hold around the house temporarily but we regularly cooked healthy meals prior to the plague.
Same here, pretty lackluster. I mean, steak and shake tastes better from what I remember having a long time ago.
they are woke
avoid
A long time ago people were not used to eating a sweetener based taste in their diets. Long ago the stuff had real flavors and our bodies knew the difference.
Everything either has soy lecithin or some type of sugar, usually corn syrup. Tastes like crap once you cleanse your pallet, straight up chemical tasting.
yer high
same. waited 20 min for a crappy burger and soggy fries. for 16$
What part of the country are you in? I grew up in the city with the first five guys and it was always amazing, until I moved to the west coast, and it was pretty mundane. Came back to the east and it was still amazing.
A lot of companies source completely different product on opposite ends of the country because shipping things across the Rockies makes it prohibitively more expensive
This was in the upper mid-west.
Either way, it was still way too expensive for what it was. I won't go back.
Go to A&W, Dairy Queen, or better yet a local drive in. The only way to get a great burger is to make it yourself, but if you're just going for fast food you shouldn't pay those prices. (My experience with 5 Guys was exactly the same. Meh)
