You just saved a fair amount of money that would've gone to Christmas presents.
Twist: they are ACTUALLY disowning him cuz he never buys them presents
I never buy presents. My brother still sends me something every year, but wont hardly talk to me. I try and try to initiate some sort of contact, but its hit or miss. Pretty hard to make heads or tails of. My inclination is just to drop in unannounced, force some interaction. "Hey im here and ill leave when i damn well please, wheres the spare room?" but he lives in commiefornia, where im disinclined to go
I never buy presents, or talk to my only brother. Don't miss either.
One time I gave my mum an origami butterfly for mothers day when I was just 16 years old.
All she did was cry and scream that that is all I gave her when my older by 6 years brother had bought her £500 worth of tat.
So I never bought my parents a single gift the rest of my life.
Me mum was in hospital once, and I brought her a bottle of beer...she said it was the best present ever
