He has severe autism. This manifests in poor social skills, hence the assholery which explodes out of him from time to time.

But autists are often good at organizing and interpreting data. They just can't be sociable to save their damned lives. This is why there have been several subs dedicated to shitting on him. I used to feel bad for him, then I got a taste of his bullshit- misquotes your comment, calls you an idiot, declares himself a galaxy-brain, and then blocks you like a fucking redditor if you have something to say back.

I make no apologies- the guy is a faggot. He might be good at sitting on his ass all day and monitoring/posting about an ongoing trial (instead of, y'know, working or something), but he is a bitter, miserly bitch. But genuinely the work done on the trial was top-notch and made it much easier to follow for people who couldn’t watch it every day (or I suppose people who just didn’t want to watch).
