I have seen a nurse with long nails on television. The first thing nurses are taught is to not grow long nails because of hygiene reasons. Long nails prevent from fully washing fingers, therefore retain infections under the nails. This is something crazy. If I ever meet a demented nurse with long nails, I will demand to be treated by somebody else.

Had a teacher in grade school, had 3” nails. Every morning she would just stab her jelly toast (more important than the students and she would remind us of that daily) with 4 of them and eat it like some corn cob impression. Grossed me out every day.
