If you have one, test your backup generator to prepare for any winter weather power outages.

if you are not on solar, or wind, you must be a domestic terrorist ;-)

seriously though, we might need a plan for when gas hits $10 or becomes unavailable. wood gasifier maybe? probably too technically involved for me (I'm all thumbs and no mechanical aptitude).

Not that other fuels can't jump too but the one I have can take gas or propane. I'm not familiar with wood gasifiers. I'll have to look into that.

I like to take the screens off the windows

may I ask why?

Snow and ice sometimes will build up on them and will cause the screen material to stretch. I also like being able to look through my windows without having the screens on. It's also nice to be able to wash them in the spring before putting them back on.

haven't had the stretchy screen problem, but I do agree that it is nice to look out the windows without the screen. might need to do that on select windows now, but storing them might get tricky at my place....

Wear the Armor of God.

Sorry to be off topic, but the armor is the most essential.

always a good reminder.

actually, it is a good addition to the list:

check your ammo storage perform routine firearm maintenance load your magazines put some thought into SHTF situations in your home (escape plan, make a stand plan, etc.)

The Sun is about to do a thing caused by the galactic sheet magnetic reversal.

New Mexico near Raton Pass is the safest place in America. Happens every 12,499 years.

Armor of God will be your only protection.
