I've never seen that before. They were flying far away from each other, like both would be on the flanks of the classic V formation if there were 14 birds with them to fill out the middle. They were constantly honking at each other, I think to stay in communication so they didn't lose each other. Just really makes me wonder what happened. Did they get lost, or did the rest of the flock die? How'd they feel only having one other goose to be with? Were they a mated pair, or just two random geese traveling together? Could be a metaphor, could be an omen. Just makes me thing a lot about the coming times, when the roads might not be safe and travel will be restricted and ya probably can't take everyone with you.
