I remember discovering what old high schools in Detroit were like, before the niggerization of the city. It really drove the point home to me how bad things have become over the last 60 years. Take Cooley High School's auditorium for example, before the fire. You would have thought you were in Fox Theater, given how intricately ornate every little inch was paid attention to. Carved from stone. Most of Detroit's old high schools were like that.

Wonder my boomer father, who grew up in the city and experienced the grandeur of Old Detroit before the darkening, if they realized they fucked up big time when coming to see my high school performances in suburban high school with the most plain-jane cheap ass auditorium possible. His father's generation built them Fox Theaters while my father's generation were forced to build us the freakin' dollar show because at some point the powers that be decided everything has to accommodate only the lowest common denominator.

Now, it's worse... my generation are forced to build things that fall down in 2 years.

Same story here. Grew up in a much too innocent time when we kids could be kids. High school was a blast, girls and pot seemed fine. But slowly it didn't seem right. The college kids started getting more and more violent believing in "issues" I didn't care about. My high school was one of the newest and fancy, we even had air conditioning. It was very white, reflecting the surrounding neighborhood. Then a judge decided we needed to integrate the schools, forced busing across town to a colored high school. My life changed, had to grow up quick, and the dream days were over. Vietnam and my draft card woke me up pretty quick.

Of course things had to happen but it was sad to say goodbye to such a great childhood. Great memories and in hindsight I had no idea what was happening "behind the scenes", it's so much clearer now. The frog in the pot certainly was true. As a kid, I was both fortunate but spoiled by what I didn't know.

All the cool kids were hippies is not really correct. They were outliers and the same old jock and cute girl cheerleader crap was still well intact. The hippies were the ones who didn't fit in. Not to say they didn't think they were cool.

The same 'rejects' of today that turn to left wing insanity are the ones that became hippies back then, and in high school they weren't even true hippies, they were wannabes. We called them plastic hippies. Most of them were simply hoodlums.

The real ones were in college and in the big east coast west coast cities, especially San Fransicko, and even those were being manipulated and propped up by intelligence personnel, as was Manson. It was all a social engineering thing, not nearly as organic as people think.
