I just got off the phone with my uncle from chicago. He told me they’re gonna lay off 40% of the police because they won’t get the vaccine. He also told me the police academy normally had about 500 people now it has 100. He also told me his friend got his car stolen 3 times. Then was in the parking garage and he saw the thieves truck. He had them at gun point. He called the cops 5 times and said I’m gonna shoot them if you don’t come. They never came. He ended up shooting the truck up. Eventually the cops came looking for him but they’re so understaffed they just gave up. Anyways. I thought that was crazy. He was sending me videos of him shooting. He finally got his concealed carry permit.

The crazy part is he lives downtown. In what is supposed to be the “safe part” I guess. It’s not like he lives in the south side or some shit. Last time I was there I went to go find a bar and as I was leaving his building the doorman told me “don’t even let the cops know you’re not from around here” it’s funny cause I acted like an idiot all night. Got lost. Got smashed. Did a bunch of dumb shit. I figured if I looked crazy nobody would fuck with me and they didn’t. Chicago’s always been pretty bad but I didn’t know it’s gotten this bad recently. He says he has insurance it’s basically murder insurance. 140 a month, or a year probably a year. So if you kill somebody you’ll already have a lawyer set up. He said now though unless it’s an actual murder they probably won’t show up

Have a feeling all the cities will be like this and worse soon. I'm in the process of selling my property in a southern one crime was getting too bad and the infrastructure was falling apart couldn't rely on city services but they had time to fuck with me over normal property improvements. So i just said fuck it and left.

I mean it's been a long list I've watched it degrade over the last 20 years. Half my family still lives there like they have for the last 100 years but at some point you have to know when to hold and when to fold. Covid and vax passports made it a lot easier as well. Now I'm getting ready for what seems like the ragnorok or some shit and it's kind of liberating in a way. My plan is to be setup to provide a point of evacuation for when the rest of my family is forced out.

He also told me Everytime he walks down the street he walks on the side of the road to make him least vulnerable to drive bys. They won’t shoot out the driver side he says
