My dad's getting it, because they didn't process his retirement paperwork in time and they'll fire him November 11. He will lose all forty some years of retirement working at an afb. Says at 65 he's too old to be able to do anything else.

One of the worst for me was Drudge. I thought Drudge had the balls to stand against the pressures from the fascists, but he folded like a deck of cards. My guess is they bought him out with so much money, his little Jew soul just couldn't say no. He's been hiding in a hole ever since.

I've told my children if someone holds a gun to my head to get them to consent to the injection to let them shoot me. But if it were the gun against their head, I couldn't do it.

It's easy to get to people who have children. I love my husband and would give my life for him, but I would not be as easily swayed as if they had my children. Does Drudge have children? If so. You know why.

I'll be honest, if it were me in that situation I'd get it too, no more kids to have, retirement at stake, etc.

it's called blackmail & extortion

>no more kids to have, retirement at stake, etc.

So nothing to lose. Why not just go full banzai charge mode?

Because living for 30 years with a lifetime of benefits is better than dying today, probably

Better to live a single day as a lion than a lifetime as sheep.

Put yourself in his shoes and tell us what you would do.

I can't do that, as I'm not in his shoes. It's one thing to say what you would do and another to actually do it. He himself said he wouldn't and now he is.

It's just so disheartening.

I'm his age myself. My health is shot. His concern is not just for himself but for everyone he loves and supports. If he loses his pension, he's totally screwed. Mind you , people working for government have security but only by knowing the rules and obeying them.

The government pulled this shit out of their asses and your dad is trapped. I understand your disappointment, but people disappoint us all the time. Please allow the man to make his tough choices. He did not make this situation happen. he's trapped and he knows it.

I wish you and your family all the best. My entire family are unjabbed, but we are free to make this choice (so far) without repercussions. Your dad is not.

I'm not holding it against him. He has no one who depends upon him. He's in excellent shape, out does men twenty and thirty years his junior. He can easily make it work, it's one of the biggest reasons I'm upset about it. I understand the idea of losing that hard earned pension is nauseating and overwhelming. My husband and I will be facing it soon enough, we are trying to get out of our current home and pay cash for a smaller one, keep enough in the bank for taxes and other things, while working a garden and trading locally. There are things he could do but he is choosing not to. (He has more money than we do, we are on a single income three children) He hunts all the time, cleans and stores his kill, is handy in a way we younger generations fail.

If anyone could do it, he could, but he's choosing not to. If things continue down this path the money will not even be there, either through failure of the system or inflation making it worth nothing.

I feel very gloomy right now, I am sorry if I'm coming off so pessimistically. It feels like every time I see another person kowtowing it's another card in the already stacked deck against my family's odds. I would never have thought my own dad would give in.

I hope that you and yours don't have to make this decision. I don't think any of us are going to get that option, to be quite frank, though. I think it's going to be all of us

For me, I lost faith in humankind the day that Pence folded and certified the (s)election. And I slip farther and farther from my fellow man every time I see someone wearing a mask. The word "alienation" seems too mild to describe what's happening to me.

[–] 1 pt

You're right. Alienation isn't sufficient enough to describe it. The heavy weight of a burden too large to bear, failure of intimate social, local society, national identity structures, you've got the ones who are frothing at the mouth that you should get it and you're evil if you don't, then the ones who do it and find ways to justify it and resent you for not doing the same(I know that time will come. Because we who don't take it will represent the failure of their willpower and self respect will falter due to them giving in to tyranny. We will be a painful, unwelcome reminder. What good are guns if you don't even have bodily autonomy??? Who needs guns when you willingly surrender your arm to be injected with mystery potion?)

I've had some whiskey. Forgive my runons.
