Been resisting this for years, but the women asked me to try it out. why didn't i do this years ago. everything just works. i have the lappy tied into my boat systems, same for the tab and phone. m1 macs have insane low power consumption, while doing high level tasks such as video rendering for our yt channel. i sold my simrad screens for ipads at the wheel and at the nav station. the only thing it sucks at is gaming, keeping the pc for that, but man it eats power comparably. my inability to change who i was limited me.

why would you switch to mac and not linux? if you have to get used to a new OS might as well use the best OS instead of a branch of unix
