YES, this WILL be hard for a while. While the US necessarily starts to create within it's own borders again. This won't be good but it won't be awful. The US has ZERO need for international anything. It's borders could AND should be sealed shut. Completely. There is NOTHING necessary outside the US.

Agreed. Start making stuff here in the US again. The semiconductor shortage, whether real or imagined, should wake up the people. I’d rather pay a little more to keep the stuff and jobs in the US

When the money you're paying more with is sent into your own system (economy) it benefits you. "BUY LOW PRICE NOW NOW NOW" is awful for an economy. It lowers wages which lowers spending power etc.
