Update:

I guess they were just letting employees know as of December 1st if the “law” is in enacted that’s what’s going on.

The meeting was just a heads up for December 1st. They’ll pay for the testing and every positive test they’ll pay you for 5 out of 10 days. Since there’s no rules they don’t know if they can just do the old temp screening and questionnaire or not.

They’re not sure if it will even go into effect they just wanted to give everyone a heads up. They believe it will mostly likely be short lived before an injunction,, overturned or businesses just don’t comply. It’s not their job to play doctor.

I have a friend who texted me who has worked at Costco for over ten years. The unvaxxed had a mandatory meeting and will be required to test or get vaxxed.

When asked, the company said they will be paying for the tests.

When someone asked since there’s so many false positives what happens when I’m gone for 10 days every month or two? Am I considered immune after the first positive test? will I get paid after the first positive test to quarantine since I’m immune? they had no answers.

The rule has yet to be officially finalized, and it’s unclear what, if any, exemptions will be allowed, but is estimated to affect over 80 million workers and thousands of employers.

It’s not even going to stand up in court.

I need to find someone who will fake a vax card and put it in the state database, no luck yet.

No, those are the workers everyone hates. Costco couldn’t survive on their margins and man hours with warehouses full of the lazy idiots working They all think they should be CEO’s are lazy, call in, do the job of a half person but you have that at any job. They will end up at Walmart eventually.

You just have to know someone to get hired or put you’re application in and go in and talk to a manager and show initiative that you want the job and you get hired. I think it’s 17-19 starting pay now.

Topped out is 26 or 27 something with a fifty cent raise a year, meat cutters, optical and hearing aid even more. Assistants is a dollar or two less but same benefits.

1 year 1 week vacavtion, 2-5 years 2 weeks, 5 years is 3 weeks, 10 years is 4 weeks vacation, 15 years is 5 weeks. 9 days of personal time, if you don’t use them you get paid out for them. You can roll a weeks vacation $35 medical $15 for each family member and a $3,000 family out of pocket cap(except co-pay).

2 bonus a year after so many hours he gets 3,500 roughly I believe, 20 years is 4,500.

25 years 5,000 bonus and lifetime membership.

You have people will millions in their 401k that started in the late 1990’s to 2,000’s whenever they announce a special dividend liberals flip out, “it’s only for the rich” but most of his co-works with the same amount of time have 1000-2000 shares and get the dividend paid out, so a $11 dollar dividend is amazing.

Over 15 years and you have even more since stock prices were lower. He has close to 2,000 shares which is over a million.

Costco philosophy is treat your workers good and let them advertise for you you. You’re company is only as good as your employees quality of life, unlike Walmart. It’s kind of the Henry Ford model, treat you’re employees good and they’ll work hard for you.

That does sound like a good place to work, then I can understand losing the job would suck
