Update:

I guess they were just letting employees know as of December 1st if the “law” is in enacted that’s what’s going on.

The meeting was just a heads up for December 1st. They’ll pay for the testing and every positive test they’ll pay you for 5 out of 10 days. Since there’s no rules they don’t know if they can just do the old temp screening and questionnaire or not.

They’re not sure if it will even go into effect they just wanted to give everyone a heads up. They believe it will mostly likely be short lived before an injunction,, overturned or businesses just don’t comply. It’s not their job to play doctor.

I have a friend who texted me who has worked at Costco for over ten years. The unvaxxed had a mandatory meeting and will be required to test or get vaxxed.

When asked, the company said they will be paying for the tests.

When someone asked since there’s so many false positives what happens when I’m gone for 10 days every month or two? Am I considered immune after the first positive test? will I get paid after the first positive test to quarantine since I’m immune? they had no answers.

The rule has yet to be officially finalized, and it’s unclear what, if any, exemptions will be allowed, but is estimated to affect over 80 million workers and thousands of employers.

It’s not even going to stand up in court.

I need to find someone who will fake a vax card and put it in the state database, no luck yet.

Don't fake it stand up for yourself and all of us. I am doing the same. Make them fire you.

[–] 0 pt

It’s not me, I said friend. He can’t afford it. Plus no unemployment if fired for residing the vax or testing.

[–] 2 pts

how much is his dignity worth?

[–] 1 pt

Well even if he cannot afford it he should be standing up anyway. If they can make you take a shot what can't they make your do? What the fuck is wrong with people.

And fuck you too, OP, you faggot nigger.

[–] 0 pt

Ok, billy, you already quit?

I said test or vax.

Yes, he should give up $27 an hour, bonuses, great benefits so his family can live on the street instead of taking a test.

You sound like the dumb nigger faggot, you’d be out on the street corner sucking dick for $10 to eat instead of taking a test. When religious exemptions are an option that’s what he’ll do.

No unemployment according to whom? Hence why the hospitals have not been telling employees they're fired, instead they've been saying they're not on payroll and other jewy verbiage.

Regardless these executive decrees are proof positive the US is no longer a democratic republic, instead its under dictatorship rule.

According to the eeoc guidance.

[–] 0 pt

Is that true?

[–] 0 pt

Yes, per the eeoc, it’s for “cause”. They’re trying to make your life as difficult as possible if you don’t take it.

The most you can do is wait for lawsuits in the coming years for wrongful termination.

But I have to up date the OP, the meeting was just a heads up for December 1st. They’ll pay for the testing and every positive test they’ll pay you for 5 out of 10 days. Since there’s no rules they don’t know if they can just do the old temp screening and questionnaire or not.

Get fired and a class action lawsuits to follow.

Not going to get a fake vax card. You need someone who can input your vax information into Epic Systems. Epic was selected during the Obama administration to centralize medical records into a national database. Epic is a private company and not much information on who is running it.

Religious exemptions are being accepted if you know how to write one.

Finally it will be interesting to see how long it takes for people who get fired get reinstated with back pay. I'm guessing 2 years.

They want to turn vaccinations into a regular thing too, so the vaccination card won't help if they go every 12 weeks like Israel.

[–] 1 pt

Crazy how at the beginning of covid Costco was PACKED with people while mom and pop shops had to close. Amd now they are mandating a vaccine?

[–] 0 pt

No I posted the update earlier, if by joe Biden’s mandate they’ll have to follow that December 1st.

They’ll pay for the tests and the first five days for a positive test. They don’t know if it will ever go into effect just giving employees a heads up.

They want to do the screenings like last year, some questions and a temp check but with no law they don’t know what they’ll have to do.

[–] 1 pt

In Alberta, Canada they just mandated that those unvaccinated will have to be PCR tested every 72 hours to work. This from the same government that in July promised they would not bring in a passport system (they did) and would be treating covid like every other respiratory infection (they aren't). Jabs will be mandatory for those over 12 by Monday to attend public gatherings other thanschool and essential services. Coincidentally, we vote federally on Monday and it is not considered an essential service.

So glad I never joined them. Support local businesses.

You have to wonder what kind of person gets a Jab to keep his shit job at costco. But then again, if you work there you've already arrived at the bottom of the ladder so you're stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I'm not taking a Jab at people who work these jobs, I used to have shit jobs too and I know it's easier to blame the man than beat your own way and do something else. I guess it comes down to self worth and self confidence.

It’s no different then a factory job from the past the pay and benefits are great 3/4 are college degrees.

[–] 0 pt

Really? I've heard costco treats their ppl decent but I thought it was good only for redditors

No, those are the workers everyone hates. Costco couldn’t survive on their margins and man hours with warehouses full of the lazy idiots working They all think they should be CEO’s are lazy, call in, do the job of a half person but you have that at any job. They will end up at Walmart eventually.

You just have to know someone to get hired or put you’re application in and go in and talk to a manager and show initiative that you want the job and you get hired. I think it’s 17-19 starting pay now.

Topped out is 26 or 27 something with a fifty cent raise a year, meat cutters, optical and hearing aid even more. Assistants is a dollar or two less but same benefits.

1 year 1 week vacavtion, 2-5 years 2 weeks, 5 years is 3 weeks, 10 years is 4 weeks vacation, 15 years is 5 weeks. 9 days of personal time, if you don’t use them you get paid out for them. You can roll a weeks vacation $35 medical $15 for each family member and a $3,000 family out of pocket cap(except co-pay).

2 bonus a year after so many hours he gets 3,500 roughly I believe, 20 years is 4,500.

25 years 5,000 bonus and lifetime membership.

You have people will millions in their 401k that started in the late 1990’s to 2,000’s whenever they announce a special dividend liberals flip out, “it’s only for the rich” but most of his co-works with the same amount of time have 1000-2000 shares and get the dividend paid out, so a $11 dollar dividend is amazing.

Over 15 years and you have even more since stock prices were lower. He has close to 2,000 shares which is over a million.

Costco philosophy is treat your workers good and let them advertise for you you. You’re company is only as good as your employees quality of life, unlike Walmart. It’s kind of the Henry Ford model, treat you’re employees good and they’ll work hard for you.
