Me: Where's Dan today? Coworker: He's off. It's Yom Kippur. Me: Dan's Jewish? His last name is more Italian-sounding than mine! CW: He's really only Jewish when it comes to taking the holidays off. Me: Interesting. CW: If that's not stereotypical Jewishness I don't know what is. Me; Oy vey!

I know a Catholic who used to work for a jewish company in France. Jews working there could take jewish holidays off but other religions didn’t get their religious holidays. She demanded Good Friday off and insisted since it was the day the jews killed her Lord it should count as a jewish related holiday at least. Got the day off but didn’t work there much longer after that.

That's not at all uncommon, and one of the reasons I'd never work for a religious Jewish company.

I'll never work for a Jew again. Worst bosses ever
