I joined the herd of sheeps and got the first shot today. after months of resisting, my state is now you‘re either vaxxed and there are no restrictions to anything, or you‘re not and it‘s a total lockdown, with nothing allowed except grocery shopping.

while i wouldn’t mind too much, it‘s horrible for my kids. they‘re still too young to do anything on their own and most of their life has been dictated by lockdowns already. everyone else is vaxxed, so it‘s just ours who are left out, because we can‘t enter anything.

it‘s basically like communism again. you either join the party or there will be non-stop harassment by the government. and now joining the party has become the lesser evil.

but of course it‘s all voluntary there is no mandate…

it‘s just disgusting.

Well, would it have been better to lock my kids inside with no social contacts for months or even years? Because that would be the alternative, since I'm not allowed to accompany them to anything.

You, prior to conceding, and the rest of us with kids are currently in that position; so to me, yeah it’s better. Once you give an inch it makes giving more that much easier. Will you get the 2nd? And the upcoming booster? What about when they require a booster every 4-6 months to keep your passport valid? You’ve gone this far, so what’s a little more? It’s only freedom, right? I definitely hope you don’t suffer from any side effects though. I sincerely wish you all the best.
