Not a bug, just annoying.

When I post a video, poal seems to use the first frame of the video as a thumbnail, which is fine. However, if the first frame of the video is black, it will use a Joe Biden thumbnail instead. I hate this pic so much.

Anytime this happens to me, I delete the video post and find a pic to use as the thumbnail and post the video in the content section.

Not a major issue, just annoying. It's only happened to me a few time since coming to poal.

I love this place, you've made a great website, and I appreciate your work immensely.

lol That's because your video starts on a black frame and vid8 uses a blank image by default.

The thumbnail is from that post:

The reason why is because it contained a blank thumbnail (that is the exact same match/hash) before I uploaded that image.

So when the thumbnail is generated, poal's code is grabbing the current thumbnail for that hash.

I'll replace it with a poal vid8 thumb, so next posts will not display pedojoe.

I see, but that thumbnail though, it ruins the sentiment of the other posts, IMO.

But like I said before, it's no big deal, I can work around it, just thought I'd share.

Fixed already.

I'll undelete your post since the thumbnail is now the vid8 default one when a video doesn't have a default image preview.
