This was in south east pa towards philadelphia. so i was walking my dog at an "offleash" dog park. so i guess its really just on/off leash based on whatever the preference of the owner is. i've never seen such a rule enforced in the states i live in (montana and colorado). anyways, i went to the dog park this morning to walk my dog. the park was a roaming field with a fence, standard practice for a park, whatever. so i started walking my dog in the park on leash, and this group of people started yelling at me to offleash my dog. at first i thought there was an emergency or something, but apparently one of the dogs has a habit of attacking on leash dogs ... so i just decided to leave afterwards because i want to train my dog to be more social. if people are gonna be assholes about it whatever.

my dog got somewhat mouthy with one of the dogs there, and they told me there's no room for violence in this dog park. immediately after, his own dog started barking like mad at my dog, my dog wasnt barking back or anything, just visibly confused with all the comossion. i don't know, its a small thing, and it doesnt matter, but there's just something about a pa liberal where you want to take that 1911 in your car and just shoot them all, and have the vultures eat out their remians in minecraft.

Dog park people are the reason I stopped visiting dog parks.

My dog is like a meme of that one story about the guy being pushed to the edge until he fights back, and then everyone just proclaims it was just a joke. These dog park dogs are super violent, and will rip the smaller one to shreds, but always without fail the victim dog is accused of being the aggressor because poor old buddy pitbull here would never hurt a fly right?!

Dogs are notorious for having different behavior while on a leash. It’s not uncommon for an unleashed dog to be aggressive toward a leashed dog. You should always unleash your dog if you can’t protect your leashed dog from an attack of an unleashed dog. And yeah, my dog got bit at a dog park and it ripped her skin. I forked out $700 to fix her up and the owner was a total bitch about it. But one day the dog turned on the owner and bit her in the face. So at least she got what she deserved.

A story with a happy ending. My dog can barely kill a mosquito and his bite isnt super strong. He's like a 35 pound dog, and only uses violence as a means of absolute last resort. Heck hell jump on me and have me carry him over trying to bite or maul something. Annoyingly, when i do carry him the other dog gets even more fucking aggressive towards me. I've found most dog park dog owners just bring their super violent dogs into the park, with zero oversight and have a shocked face when their dog mauls or barks at something. It threw me away from dog parks for a few years

What? You leash your dog so you can keep it away from bad dogs. If you can't keep a bad dog away from your dog while it's on a 6 ft leash you've got a problem. That would be the kind of dog you call animal control on. it's one thing for a dog to come up to your dog if it's running around. If a dog comes up to a person and is violent close by a person that is not cool, even if that violence is directed at a dog.

People who have violent dogs that they cannot control should not be at the dog park. Tough shit for those dogs. They can live on a farm or something.

I think you read that wrong. If your dog is leashed you should unleash it when an aggressive dog comes up. And when my dog was bit at the dog park she was just running around unleashed minding her own business. She was a greyhound with no undercoat so when the aggressive dog got near her it didn’t take much to rip her skin off the muscle. The aggressive dog owner refused to admit it was her dog that bit mine, but her dog ended up biting her in the face a few months later and was then put down.

It's because those people are flaming sanctimonious assholes like all the left are now. Call them niggers and faggots to watch them melt.

apparently one of the dogs has a habit of attacking on leash dogs

Then ban THAT fucking dog. It's just like they are with niggers, YOU have to change and suffer violence so the nigger can roam around doing whatever the fuck it wants and they call that MORAL.

All i wanted to do was exposure training for my dog, since when we lived in Montana he didnt meet many other dogs. So i thought, onleash exposure training with other dogs. He actually did really well until the one dog attacked him

I hate off leash dog parks because of the people They just let the dog off leash so he's "free" They don't train thier dogs to be off leash safety.

Some time ago, I took my puppies to a dog park. Just as we got through the gate, a husky and a rottweiler came running from about 50 yards away, growling and pinned my pups into a corner. Their owner came running behind them trying to call them back, but they didn't listen. Scared the fuck out of my puppies (me too).

The guy said the husky just wanted to play but sometimes the rott was aggressive. Then he led his dogs back to the other side of the park where his family was picnicking.

We stood there for a minute or so, but my pups decided this wasn't a fun place to be. On the way out, I reviewed the rules on the sign at the entrance. Aggressive dogs and dogs that don't respond to verbal commands need to be leashed and muzzled.
