The state has a monopoly on violence. If you try to fight the state with violence you will lose. If you stand out, you will be hammered down. They know how to deal with it and they are exceedingly well prepared for it. What they can not stop are the seemingly random. If they don't know what is doing it, how, or why, they have no target, they have no focus. Anonymous individual action is the states Achilles heal. Always remember this. Collectivist problems will never have collectivist solutions.

This is what happened to the Soviet Union.

Everybody just quit, and then pretended to go through the motions.

We pretend to work, and they pretend to pay us.

The entire population.

They couldn't even feed themselves.

Most productive farmland in the world.

We kept them alive by selling them food on credit which was never repaid.

The powers that be don't care about that. Just so long as they are in charge.

They will let everything go to hell, exactly as you are seeing now.

Passive resistance will not stop them.
