I checked their union website and the 'hero pay' ended.
Today in anticipation of hot humid weather, I went into the grocery store to get my frozen stuff to be in and out quick. Spot cashier with no line, facing away from where customers would approach her station, and put my stuff on the belt. Then spent waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time at the check out because ....
The fat cashier didn't move, but asks if I need a bag. (Idiot dems voted for people to pay for plastic bags they put your groceries in.). I said no, I have two bags and put them on the belt.
Then she literally moves 1 millimeter per second trying to twist her fat body to look behind her at the groceries on the belt. without moving her legs. I think 'oh she must have a really bad injury and be in a lot of pain' . But then I think 'NO, why would she be working?'
Then she moves her body back to start position and moves legs in super slow motion to get around to face the grocery belt. Finally! But no, she turns on belt and stops it to get the bags taking forever to find the bags which are right there. Right there! .
Then the slowest in the world scanning begins. Are you kidding me? I've never seen scanning so slow. If they had a scan yourself station I'd have been done and gone already. I had seven items. Just 7 items. WTH.
I'm ok with the end of 'hero' pay.
