If you are fired it'll help the destabilization sure, but not every company will fire its employees for non compliance. Additionally, the more who stay and stand their ground, the more will be inspired to do so also.

So, if you are in a position to resist, then resist. There's a chance that we all will weather the storm, and still have something left standing if we do.

If you are fired for cause you can always appeal. There is something to dispute. You could claim discrimination on religious grounds.

If you quit you are 100% not getting any unemployment benefits.

From what I've heard of people being fired for cause, a lot of them still get unemployment benefits. It's not a sure thing.

You can also try suing your employer for discrimination. Don't quote me on this, but I hear in such lawsuits the employer foots the bill.

Unfortunately, not in my state. I hired a lawyer when they mandated both the flu and covid vaxxes for remote employees (I have always been remote). He says it would be being fired for insubordination.

I filed both medical and religious exemptions. I have not heard back yet.

I filed a medical and religious exemption on the advice of a lawyer. He says there has been litigation starting way back at the beginning of this crap but the courts are so damned slow.

He also implied that they are cucked and terrified of big pharma and the federal government. I wonder if they will just keep tossing stuff out so they don't have to rule on it.

Also at my work (150k+ employees) I know of only one other person filing an exemption. Between us, both our teams are fully vaxxed and proud. They were going around on team calls demanding (other teammates, not managers) demanding to know statuses. I ignored the question and it was assumed I wasn't paying attention (though my lead told me later he understood that I wasn't comfortable saying anything and dropped it at that). My friend just outright lied to avoid the ostrazation.

How do file the exemption? Is it an actual form or just write a letter?

For my company it was a form. Here were the invasive questions (they are a Catholic charity, so I've always avoided saying one single word about my religion because I'm sure it strays quite far from whatever it is Catholics or pretend Catholics believe):

Please explain the religious belief, observation, or practice that prevents you from getting the COVID-19/Influenza vaccine.

Please describe the specific conflict between your religious belief, observance or practice and the COVID-19/Influenza vaccine. In your response, please identify the specific reasons the vaccine requirement causes conflict.

Please provide any information that will help us determine that your belief is sincerely held. For example, does this belief affect any other aspect of your life? Please provide any details you feel are relevant.

Please identify any job accommodation(s) that you believe would resolve the conflict between your religious belief, observance or practice and the vaccine requirement. Be as specific as possible.

That last one felt weirdly worded to be a trick question to me. Do they want to know what will make me take a forced poison into my body? Or do they want to know what I will be willing to do to prevent my "dirty unvaxxed, unclean" self away from people? It was all really disheartening. I know if word gets out that I even filed an exemption I will be harassed by colleagues. I just recently moved to a new, amazing team and to get fired or alienate them now will really suck.

That would probably depend on the company. My wife is in healthcare and they provide forms for both religious and medical exemptions. They also allow exemptions for pregnant employees but that would obviously only last until no longer pregnant.

Another thing you can do is drag it out. Time is on your side and the longer you can keep your job the better off you'll be. A lot of lawsuits are being filed right now that will decide whether or not employer can actually fire you for not getting the vax.

You can always just tell your employer that you are vaxxed. If they ask for proof, just stall. Ignore their emails and pretend like you never received them.
This alone fundamentally changes the nature of the dispute. It's no longer "get the vax or you're fired" but "show us proof that you were vaxxed or you're fired". It might seem like the two are similar but they are not. You can always say you got the vax early on and never received your vax card. If they ask you to go and get another card tell them you don't recall where you got the vax. It was a drive up vax type of thing.

If they ask you to get another vax you can tell them that getting double vaxxed carried unknown health risks.

You see how this changes your position for the better? Now your employer, if they fire you, they will have to fire you not for failing to get the vax but for failing to show proof of getting the vax. You will have a much stronger argument if your unemployment benefits are in jeopardy.

If you have a problem lying, remember that your employer is trying to force an experimental medical procedure on you that could kill you.

I think what would have helped is if they had tried a nationwide mandate upfront. Using the divide and conquer strategy keeps people who aren't affected yet on the sidelines. Tell the whole country they're unemployed without a vax on X date and we might see what we're seeing in France.

On Gab they call it accelerationism. If deep state overreaches, the frog jumps out of the pot because they turned up the heat too fast. Using divide and conquer they will eventually force anyone who needs to work to get the vax. And they will then reach a point where they can go ahead and do the nationwide mandate anyway.

Play games and stall as much time as you can.

Say you're vaxxed but can't find your card. Say there's a problem with the paperwork. Say you already submitted it to HR a week ago. Waste as much time and energy as you possibly can. Liberals are lazy and won't be able to play this game as long as we can.

There is another aspect of this you should consider.

What color is your parachute?

Leaving a company on bad terms is best avoided at all costs, if you can.

If the writing is on the wall, and you know it's time to go, the best play is to say nothing, and go find another job before you leave your current one.

That way when you do resign, you can say you have received a better offer elsewhere. It is of course, confidential, however, the offer is so good you are forced to accept it, no hard feelings, and thanks for the opportunity, it has been an excellent experience, you guys are a great bunch of people, and I will miss you. Then you are out clean.

This preserves your employment reference.

You should even do this if you are quitting without the new job offer. Moving to a better job should be your official reason for leaving.

HR should never say anything about you in a bad light that isn't well documented in your employee file. It opens obscene amounts of legal liability for the firm.

Also, if they decide to try to keep you, they have to offer you more money to stay. Perhaps a promotion. They are more likely to do this if they think another firm lured you away than if you are quitting because of shitty management decisions.

I realize things are crazy right now. But this could also all blow over in a few years. Your past employment performance can follow you around for decades. Keep that in mind as you plan your moves. It pays to think ahead.
