I am the only person at the company that is not vaccinated. they attempted to bully me into getting the vaccine. i am extremely lucky and grateful that i found a good job as quickly as i did. i let them know today that i would be moving on. they countered with "we would be willing to let you work from home to keep you." i declined.

feels good. stay strong but also stay smart.

If everybody else is vaccinated, then why do they give a fuck if youre not? Rhetorical question.

[–] 31 pts

Honestly, most are ignorant or just scared. The owner that harassed and bullied me is who I report to and he never believed Id find a job and calmly resign. He's a mess. Not my problem.

best thing you could do for yourself. Find an employer that values you or be self employed.

That kind of asshole ends up ruining a lot of good people with their "management style".

Yes, that IS the operative question. This is literally a cult in every way. It's even funnier how the jabbed still get the covid, some still die, and still they demand everyone join their death cult.

[–] 3 pts

The best part is they are starting to push the people who got it and recovered to get the shots.

My wife is the only unvaccinated person in her office, but she actually HAD Covid and has natural immunity.

So it's a bunch of immune people making an immune person wear a mask to protect them from a disease they're immune to and has a 99.98% survival rate even if they weren't.

[–] 8 pts

Especially when "herd immunity" was what, 70%? Proof that the vaccinated are crabs in a bucket.

Washington issues vaccine mandate for K-12 staff and new state mask requirement (today) https://www.kuow.org/stories/washington-issues-vaccine-mandate-for-k-12-school-employees

This 70% keeps floating around for different states. IMO lies. I think there are a lot of people refusing.

[–] 2 pts

There's no way herd immunity is 70%. I believe herd immunity is in the 30-40% range, at its highest, and around 20%. This depends on several things though, like how contagious a bug is. Think about what they are saying with herd immunity being 70%, they believe 7 out of 10 people will have or had the bug. If 7 out of 10 people were visibly sick, recovering or coming down with it, instinctively, you would start to change your habits to avoid them.

That's just insane.

I only started hearing about "herd immunity needing 80%/75%" when it was being reported in the mainstream media. Prior to that, it required 90-95% of the "herd" to be immune.

Further, the requirement increases depending on how infectious the virus is. Delta is supposed to be highly infectious.

Vaccinations apparently rapidly decline in effectiveness. However, as has been shown in other coronavirus infections, naturally acquired immunity also rapidly declines in effectiveness. We've evolved to treat this type of virus as an ephemeral threat, not worthy of devoting resources to long-term immunity.

The only way to get through this without losing our minds will be to stop freaking out and get back to business, soldier on, and take the losses as they come.

Drink the Kool-aid unless you don't believe in our lord and savior Fauci.

[–] 17 pts

Good for you. Seriously. We need more people with backbones.

[–] 10 pts

Now more than ever. They're coming for the kids hard now. White kids most of all.

[–] 3 pts

Our schools are making life harder for the unvaccinated kids and segregating them. So then the kid goes home and begs his parents to get vaccinated so his life at school isn't miserable. It's so fucked up these people deserve to burn in hell.

[–] 16 pts

Fuck ‘em. Take your skillset elsewhere.

[–] 7 pts

"we would be willing to let you work from home to keep you."

Fuck that, that was always an option and they didn't offer it until you resigned. That should tell you everything you need to know about them and how they feel about you. Them not offering that until your resignation shows they thought they had the power in the relationship and you needed them more than they needed you.

[–] 4 pts

Which is the cherry on top. It's all a bit odd. The functions I perform are quite unique so I'm still confused to why they targeted me.

[–] 3 pts

I'm still confused to why they targeted me.

You shouldn't be. You showed them you are a free and critical thinker. That automatically made you a target because you were different from them. Them getting you to get the shot would show them you can be bullied by them to get their way. The monkey wrench is you are leaving, which wasn't planned for, which shows you they don't care about next week, month or year, just now and today. If they planned or thought long term, they wouldn't have bullied you because you leaving would have been on the table as a possible outcome.

You are probably dodging a bullet.

[–] 2 pts

Thank you for the well thought out response. Despite the stress of it all, it truly turned out to be a win-win for me overall.

[–] 6 pts

Excellent. Letters of resignation should be flooding in from vaxxed people too. Some smart people took it that I know personally, they were in their 70's though, plus a couple dumb college kids. Really though, I wish more people saw these mandates and ultimatums for what they are, or glanced at Australia.

[–] [deleted] 7 pts

Don't resign. Make them fire you. If you resign you will not be eligible for unemployment benefits, something that comes out of your every paycheck (in the form of employer-side 'taxes').

[–] [deleted] 1 pt (edited )

Can't get employment benefits if you quit or if you are fired. A furlough or lay off is not the same as being fired and the eligibility for benefits are intact. This is how they control people.

[–] [deleted] 4 pts

Unemployment benefits are rarely denied even if you are fired. The only sure fire way to lose them is to quit voluntarily.

Good. We always give value to the companies we interact with. The value you produce for the company you work for goes far beyond what value you could produce for them as a consumer. There is more power in being selective in who we work for than in where we shop.

I'm not saying don't be selective with your shopping. I'm saying if you haven't figured out how to make your work align with who you want to be giving value to, then it's worth putting some time into figuring that out and making the moves you have to make.

The vaccine is a load of shit no matter how you look at it. Even from the gayest propaganda you can read it states that it DOES NOT stop you catching covid and it DOES NOT stop you from spreading it. All it is meant to do is reduce the symptoms, it IS NOT meant to make anyone immune to the virus, yet we constantly hear this gay propaganda that 'WE NEED IMMUNITY! GET THE VAX!' but it doesnt grant immunity! it doesnt FUCKING give immunity! Immunity has NEVER been on the table with the vax! and they are still trying to force people to take an experimental drug that DOES NOT FUCKING STOP YOU CATCHING THE VIRUS. There is absolutely NO reason for this vaccine rollout other than total control and subjugation. There are no health benefits, only risks. Fuck the vax and fuck everyone who pushes it, they fucking deserve their blood clots.

Why not work from home? That seems like a great deal. You can write some software that will do your job for you and go retire while racking in the dough. Or work from a tropical paradise.

[–] 1 pt

can you name this company so we can add it to a boycott list? We have Tyson foods on there so far that I know of.

[–] 1 pt

I think we need a boycott list sticky.

[–] 1 pt

Short term pain, but the right choice. We don't yet know how bad the vaccine will hurt us, but we do know that it is killing people, lots and lots of people. More peole than the Covid virus.

"we would be willing to let you work from home to keep you." i declined.

No, as long as everything is on the table, you counter with "I'll stay and work as normally and you'll remember this conversation and never bring it up to anyone ever again!"

Then you say

"Call me when you want your TPS reports"

Then you walk out. If they never call you again, fine. If they do call you back, stand firm and say "No more bullshit EVER!"
