Can you hop up to Wyoming, or maybe Montana? Cost of living similar? The Midwest is working good for me but if I won the lottery I'd move to Montana.
Good living here in the Dakotas. Winters are cold as fuck, and most are still convinced republicans are 'good guys', but it's much better than the alternative I suppose.
I don't mind winters. The Midwest gets humid and hot as fuck! People who grew up here will go out in 95 degree heat, wearing overalls...and do road work. I grew up in the cold, my ancestry is Eastern European and I sweat like a pig out here for 3 months of the year.
This year has been especially brutal. Hot as fuck, humid as fuck, and I don't think my area has gotten 6 inches of rain all fucking summer.
Forecast says cool days on the horizon 🤞
Probably what ill end up doing
Godspeed Montana looks amazing.
I heard there was some "ranch community" in Colorado build around the Suspicious Observers guy. I don't follow him so don't know much about it except it's conservative.
