Straight out of the box. The headstock of the drill is not centered. Complete bullshit.

Unrelated, but relative: I did a patio recently with techo bloc’s wet cast pavers. Sure I’d love to throw 30x30” pavers around all day when they weigh 150lbs, my back surely appreciates it. Then they’re cast a quarter inch thicker on one side, what the fuck? What’s the point of setting a good base. More bullshit product.

I had some trouble with my Dewalt gear but I found the secret. Throw them all in the trash and get some Milwaukee

I'll admit, mistakes were made. I was prepared for the motor to fail within a year and a half, but seriously? i could drill a better hole quicker with my old egg-beater pinion drill.

I'll probably get murdered for this, but I've had great luck (no issues) with kobalt 24v tools. That youtuber broke down the drill and was ver impressed with the chuck and switch choices iirc.

I own several dozen DeWalt tools, they are all fantastic. Your drill was probably dropped.

Dewalt has gone the way of Craftsman

i got a 1950s craftsman band saw... she's a beauty, had to rewind the motor, but man... i also have a 90s craftsman circular saw. that i keep as a prank. not so much with lumber prices these days, but that fucker will make you shake like michael j fox within seconds.

I have a 90s craftsman skillsaw that cuts like a boss. The power head is so obnoxiously huge compared to anything new lol.

sweet. perhaps i could fix the old circ like i did the band saw, but i think i'll wait until it cuts some idiots fingers off.

Try Milwaukee.

Ridgid may be a little heavier but lifetime chargers, tools and lifetime batteries. Fukin lifetime batteries, how could you go wrong with ridgid?

we'll see. i guess i gotta go see how customer service wants to service me tomorrow. i may be better off at a rub and tug.

I’m a desalt guy all the way. Been using only Dewalt for a long time. I will admit that Milwaukee has become a lot more innovative with their tools, but I think quality is ultimately the same. Dewalt might be a little bit hardier though. Dropped my impact off of roofs a few times and still works like a charm. Can’t imagine a Milwaukee doing the same thing

Couple cliches that come to mind.

You get what you pay for

Buy once, cry once.

Quit buying cheapshit, what are you, a jew?

[–] 0 pt

Wait...you think Dewalt is cheap?

[–] 0 pt

pretty sure i paid enough for a straight drill. that said i know that when buying cordless you're investing in the color and the batteries. as far as cheap shit, i got a better run out of harbor freight's porter electric than this out of the box bullshit.

muh China made?

Dewalt said proudly American made with global materials. I wouldn’t be proud of that shit unless I was the jew that set the price. Pavers are usually made by retards and drug addicts within a tri-state area to mitigate shipping costs.
