The main issue here is why did the police hand a gun back to a clearly disturbed individual?

Last year I was investigated and had my door broken down by police for stuff I was saying online.

After the investigation, I asked for a full freedom of information request and a few months later got a massive file that the police had on me from tracking me online.

On one of the pages of that file it said that the police had contacted someone or something to investigate my mental health. The person they contacted said 'we know him very well, and he has never been diagnosed with any mental health problems, he is using self diagnostics'.

I was not allowed to be told who said that, or who contacted them due to privacy.

I was shocked, and immediately phoned my GP and two additional NHS mental heath numbers for the general mental health advice line, and the department where I was being seen at the time.

I asked all three to check my medical history if there was anything diagnosed about my mental health. All three found in around 30 seconds 'yes you've been diagnosed with Depression, Anxiety, and a Behaviour Disorder?'.

So I then asked each of the three 'Then why did you tell the police that I have nothing wrong with my mental health'?

Each of the three numbers confirmed that the police had never contacted them. They had never had any requests about my mental health from the police, and there was no entry on my medical history showing any request for this information from the police.

So either the police entirely make up that they spoke to someone about my mental health, or they call some service outside of the NHS that I have never been to that claim to know me and that I have nothing wrong.

They do this because if a person has mental health problems, they usually get handled with kid gloves and lighter sentences. This false admission that I had nothing wrong with my mental health gave the police permission to do whatever they normally would with me.

Most importantly - they do this with everyone they are investigation to hide that they have mental health, so that they don't need to take the 'kids gloves' approach to anyone.

So this guy that did the Plymouth shooting? The police 'investigated' his mental health in the same manner to hide anything that he had wrong with him. However in this case, that meant they had to return his gun to him.

This would be the same thing as handing me a gun because the police concluded my mental health is fine, when all I dream about is ending the entire human race.

The places you called would not have said ya we talked to police officer jones and told him you were just fine? No they wouldn't admit 5o talking to the cops positive or negative.

This sounds fucked up actually this is why no matter what I always say I'm mentally fine

No this is false. Any request to access my medical history is logged and I am legally required to be told when and if it happens.

In fact I don't even think the police can do such checks without my permission. In anycase, this is no different to if I simply handed the police my medical letters myself.

There is no reason why anyone at the NHS would tell the police there was nothing wrong with my mental health when I was already being seen by mental health services at the time.

The police have every reason to not do these checks properly, from laziness to denying me any mental health defense.
