Works for parents as well, I rarely raised my voice, never raised a hand. The look was all that was necessary.
I never raise my voice behind that occasional snap to command attention.
My process concerns terrible levels of anger and violence that I wouldnt expect too many people to understand. Realizing the look even existed took me years. I always percieved it as a period similar to a fuse being lit. It didnt just stop there.
It is such a big day for anger management for me.
I get it.. I was raised by a narcissistic, alcoholic shrew, I never knew when the hammer was going to fall. That said, children need protected not abused. Glad you got a hold of the beast..
