Pro tip about commies: They don't want your land. They don't want to farm. At worst they will raze your farm and then fuck off. I have talked to Venezuelans this happened to. So theoretically if you hid in the forest and hid your most important stuff and went back once they fucked off again you would be fine. Commies also concentrate in the cities and if they don't come in force its easier to quietly hide bodies in the sticks. They didn't have the manpower to chase after him so to fill their arrest/gulag quota they took some innocents instead. Socialism relies heavily on your fear and compliance.
