Some things i noticed about the state which piss me off to no end. I've also only been here a month and come from a Northern State.

  • Walking and hiking is effectively banned and severely restricted. You can hike, if you want to pay for the pleasure of doing so, but free hiking is very hard to find outside some super niche areas. Or maybe there are some areas, but Wyoming wasn't much better. Tried Curt Gowdy park only to find out its 12$/day use fee per vehicle

  • People here are not outdoorsey in the slightest. I tried using Bumble to see how outdoorsey people are. They hike only on approved trailes, use only approved apps, yaddi yadda. This is very different from the way i hike which is to pick a direction and keep hiking for 3 - 4 hours. Most people would panic if they deviate from a trail too much

  • Colorado bans you from selling a non registered vehicle. This is again very different from my other state, where a car did not have to be registered to be sold (title holding state). I essentially have a lemon car i can not sell or drive until the title paperwork is done, which cant be done for now until the title arrives from the other state. This is blatant complete bullshit to me, i can understand the title, but forcing a car to be registered to be sold smells like a complete erosion of private property.

  • Gun laws in Colorado are really just Denver laws being forced onto other counties. It used to be you could do private sale, but now all private sales have to go through an FFL. This makes it a pain in the ass to sell and buy guns on the down low.

  • Colorado is an open carry state, unless some Karen doesnt like you, then your rights are gone. Littleton for example is an open carry county, but cops have been known to arrest open carry holders for committing a crime that didnt exist. This makes it impossible to open carry with confidence since the books say one thing, but the current day enforcement says something else. Same issues in Lakewood, Arvada, Aurora and Golden. I had a cop almost arrest me for open carrying in Lakewood.

  • Conservative cops here are absolute cowards. They proclaim they fight for whats right, but bend over backwards (talked to a few of them) to new laws that fuck over the citizenry (red flag gun laws)

  • People in Denver are absolute idiots. They voted to rescind Tabor because i shit you not, it made commiting fraud too hard. They literally used a wording that pretty much proclaimed as much when trying to vote to have tabor rescinded. At least in Denver, IT FUCKING SUCCEEDED. How fucking maniacally stupid do you have to be to vote away your own property rights?!!

I live in NoCo myself, but it seems the retardation has already spread to Boulder, Longmont and Ft Collins

So if you had a barn find muscle car that hasn't been registered since the 70's registered before you can buy ti to fix it up?

That is correct, the title can be transferred to you, but the car would need to be registered if it was to be sold, or driven through any non private channel (dealer, mechanic, emissions, etc). You can technically work on it in your private property, assuming it never, ever leaves the private property, and never steps foot on a public road. So you can put the car on a trailer just fine, but the car itself can not touch the road. They do technically give you 48 hours to "register" the car, which is batshit dumb since the nearest appoinemtn i could find was 2 weeks out, meaning anyone buying a private sale car has effectively committed a crime in (((current year)))
